Patrick’s Hong Kong sketchbook drawings

Here are my favourite sketchbook drawings I did while we were on our Cheung family holiday in Hong Kong in January. We stayed at the flat of Lucy’s first cousin once removed, in Tin Shui Wai in the New Territories. It was nice and quiet there so in the evenings I got my sketchbook out and did some drawing while the Cheungs watched TV.

For the drawings I used my mechanical pencil, Stabilo felt tips and some posh Faber-Castell pens that I’ve had for ages and never run out! The sketchbook was a super cheap one from Flying Tiger and has nice thin creamy paper that’s enjoyable to draw on. I did some observational drawings but mostly I took cheeky snaps of people while we were out and about and then used those as a reference later.
