A Visit to YUK FUN Land
It’s been over a year in the making, but it’s finally here!
Our short film, A Visit to YUK FUN land was shot in Portslade and Stanmer Park in Brighton with the help of some of our friends: Ben Summers, Tom Ashton-Booth, Justina Strikaite, Joseph Schneider, Sidney Schneider, Federico de Cicco, Sara Laraza Radaelli, Yuri Yakovlev, Oliver Barron. It was directed by the very talented Agnes Strikaite and includes music by the YUK FUN band.
We had a lot of fun making the film, building the props and scenery and collaborating with Agnes and Yuri. As you can probably tell, it was a very low budget affair – the scenery was made out of large sheets of cardboard and lots of acrylic paint, all of the actors were friends and we didn’t have a studio to shoot in so we had to put up with the vagaries of the British summer weather. We especially enjoyed creating a DIY smoke machine, getting the band together to make the soundtrack and generally hanging out with our pals.
