Illustration We Love: Andrea Chronopoulos
Hello everybody, here’s Andrea Chronopoulos! Andrea is a Greek/Italian illustrator and is currently based in Rome. He is a member of Studio Pilar collective and has worked for an impressive list of clients including The Guardian, The New York Times and Fred Perry. We have picked some of our favourite work from his website to show you as well as some great sketchbook pages (at the bottom of the post) that Andrea kindly sent us. We love the way Andrea uses clean lines and warm colours to create images that are often humorous and also seem to hint that something else (something mysterious?) is happening behind the scenes.

Here are the sketchbook images that Andrea sent us. It’s interesting to see his work pared down to just black ink on paper, we especially love the fashion man with his “What is Fashion” book. If you want to see more of Andrea’s work (and some cool gifs), have a look at his website. He also has a Tumblr and an Instagram account.
