Illustration We Love: Eleni Kalorkoti
This week we’re appreciating the artwork of Eleni Kalorkoti, and taking a sneak peek inside her sketchbook.
We first came across Eleni’s artwork when she bought a print from Patrick back in 2011 and sent us a copy of one of her zines in the post. Since then she has been producing her singularly dream-like imagery in a variety of formats such as short animations, editorial illustrations and books.

It’s easy to visit Eleni’s website and get lost in her world of witches, space travel and ethereal characters. We love the fact that she still finds the time to work on personal projects and her zines despite being busy with commissions from Buzzfeed, The New York Times and Pitchfork amongst others. Her drawings make great use of delicate and graceful pencil lines which give her illustrations a textured, tactile feel.

One of Eleni’s London Drawings
Eleni is originally from Edinburgh and is currently living in South London (just across the road from Patrick’s older brother coincidentally!). We’ve bumped into her at various events such ELCAF and Brighton Illustration Fair and she is as charming in person as her illustrations are on paper.

We got in touch with Eleni and asked to see some of her sketchbook work – you can see what she sent us below. Lovely stuff!
