We Love The Giant Elephant Shrew

We recently took part in ON THIS PLANET, an excellent risograph illustration exhibition organised by Jenny Tang to raise funds for the World Land Trust. Over 30 illustrators were asked to create an artwork of their chosen endangered animal. Of course we chose the Giant Elephant Shrew aka Boni Giant Sengi. All artworks were risograph printed by Jenny which is an environmentally friendly process that uses soy based inks.

We LOVE elephant shrews so much and we imagine they cycle their little babies through the Boni Forest in Kenya. See Patrick’s initial sketches below.

In all seriousness, the Giant Elephant Shrew’s habitat is at risk due to development. 50% of our risograph print sales will go to the World Land Trust’s “Buy an Acre” scheme where every £100 donated = 1 acre of land preserved for wildlife. There’s only 8 in the shop.
