It’s a Mary Blair kind of Christmas!
Merry Christmas folks! Let us celebrate by marvelling at some Christmas related illustrations by the brilliant Mary Blair. Isn’t her work just the best?
Christmas Tree illustration (is it for a card?) via Danni Saw This
Not sure if these are elves or children but we’re totally into the red cone hats. And the perfectly circular candlelight.

Meadow Gold is an American dairy company, I wonder if the actual calendar dates were illustrated also? Love these two Christmassy characters.
Spread from The Golden Book of Little Verses via Animation Resources
What a big nosey moon there. Very into the little see-through peek into the house and the left lavender reindeer and right pink reindeer.
Santa and his elves via Brown Paper Bag
Santa is riding a FIVE person tandem, delivering your presents. He looks kind of smug that his crazy idea is working and enjoying the terror those elves are experiencing. There’s another version of this illustration available as a print from Nucleus but it’s not as fun, there’s less elves and no tower of presents tied on precariously to the back of the bike.

This classic Christmas tune has a cover illustrated by Mary Blair. Good legs. Go on mum, make our Christmas dreams come true!
